I Am Terrie

Marianne Reeves, born in St. Louis, Missouri, was raised in a Roman Catholic family where daily prayers and attending Holy Mass were integral parts of her upbringing. Inspired by her mother’s devotion to the Virgin Mary, Marianne’s spiritual foundation shaped her life and work. She began her writing journey in college, studying journalism and contributing to the college newspaper, with one of her stories even being picked up by the Associated Press.

After marrying and starting a family, Marianne shifted her career path, pursuing a degree in business and becoming a certified public accountant. She spent 30 years working on audits and tax returns, while also remaining actively involved in her parish community. Throughout her career, she maintained a passion for travel, visiting significant religious destinations such as the Holy Land, Lourdes, Fatima, Medjugorje, Rome, and the Vatican.
Marianne’s childhood was marked by the joy of adoption when her parents brought two young siblings into their home. After relocating to Washington state due to her mother’s health struggles, she continued to find fulfillment in writing, eventually transitioning back to her true passion after retiring for health reasons.
Today, Marianne is a dedicated author of children’s books, hoping to inspire young readers with her stories. She continues to live with her family, dedicated to her faith and her mission of nurturing the imaginations of children around the world.
